THE ARTISTS

Eloa

June 1st, 3:00 PM

Since she was very young, Elodie Corrêa has always wanted to tell stories, write her emotions, compose her inner melody, and find her own path. It is through music that she will find the best way to express herself. In 2024, after 5 studio albums and over 200 concerts in Switzerland and abroad with her alternative metal rock band "Mingmen", Elodie launches her solo project under the name Eloa. She begins recording an 11-track album at Studio des 3 Lunes in Montreux.

Alone on stage with an acoustic guitar and her unique voice, she shares her songs that oscillate between folk rock and pop.

Swing Maniak

June 2nd, 3:00 PM

Created in 2010 by two passionate guitarists, Greg Pittet and Nicolas Fardel, the collective "Swing Maniak" has more than one trick up its sleeve and pays tribute to gypsy jazz. This style was invented by Django Reinhardt, who blended Gypsy music with 1930s jazz. Often accompanied by Samuel Pont or Patrick Perrier on double bass and Vincent Millioud or Caroline Bugala on violin, "Swing Maniak" has more than 300 concerts to their credit, including performances at Cully-Jazz, Icogne-Jazz, and a tour in Nepal last March.

Les pornographes chantent Brassens

June 16th, 2:00 PM

Alice Richtarch sings with heart and sensitivity, beautifully interpreting risqué lyrics, lesser-known gems, and the great classics of "tonton" Georges. Les Pornographes have enjoyed great success: hundreds of concerts in prestigious venues and festivals in France and Switzerland, three albums, regular radio appearances, and their "Concerts for Confined People" videos viewed tens of thousands of times on social media. Alice Richtarch is accompanied on guitar by Greg Pittet and on bass by Rafael Gunti, who tastefully provide their accompaniments as close to the original versions as possible, with evident pleasure and complicity. Les Pornographes offer a show and records for all ages, for all ears, for those who appreciate beautiful words, delicate melodies, and the simplicity of music as it was made before.

International Menuhin music academy

June 22nd, 2:00 PM

In 1977, Yehudi Menuhin founded the International Menuhin Music Academy in Saanen with Alberto Lysy, his disciple and friend. In 2015, Institut Le Rosey welcomed the IMMA to its Rolle campus and offered it the position of resident orchestra of the Rosey Concert Hall under the direction of Renaud Capuçon.

The musicians of the Academy are between 18 and 27 years old and are selected from the best virtuosos worldwide. The ambition of the Menuhin Academy remains that of its founder: to train, for three years, a group of 16 to 19 virtuoso students of all nationalities, and to make them, as soloists and chamber musicians, ambassadors of a tradition of musical excellence, capable of transmitting the humanistic heritage of great classical works and contributing, through their influence, to peace in the world through harmony and solidarity.

The vocal ensemble Horizons from Yverdon-les-Bains

June 23rd, 2:00 PM

Directed since its creation in 1982 by Michel Cavin, this choir favors sacred repertoire but also embraces the stage... Memories of Bizet's "The Pearl Fishers" and Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana" are unforgettable. The ensemble has had the privilege of beautiful musical encounters and shared friendships. The choir conductor had the privilege and joy of leading the ensemble for four performances of Handel's "Messiah" in 2016. In 2022, for Lent, "The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross" by Théodore Dubois were a significant step in this musical and human journey that has lasted for 42 years. Horizons had the joy of performing Karl Jenkins' "Stabat Mater" alongside the Yverdon-les-Bains Orchestra at Easter 2024 and is delighted to present excerpts from this festive work at Chaplin's World, accompanied on piano by Josette Weber.
