THE WORLD OF CHAPLIN FOR EVERYONE

Our teams are trained and are available to help, guide and advise you. On this page, you'll find all our facilities for visitors with disabilities or special needs.

  • Reserved parking spaces Dedicated spaces for PWD as close as possible to the entrance.
  • Tailored rates We offer special rates for you and your accompanying person.
  • Lifts in the areas The Manoir and Studio are equipped with easily accessible lifts.

PHYSICAL DISABILITY

Chaplin's World is accessible to wheelchair users. The museum buildings are equipped with lifts. Access to the Manoir is facilitated by an outside ramp. Please ask our staff for information on the location of lifts and ramps.

Please note that the entrance to Chaplin's World, as well as the cinema and Studio, has a 5% gradient. The Park presents additional challenges due to the gravel surface and slopes of up to 10%.

WALKING DISABILITY

Chaplin's World is accessible to people with walking difficulties. The ground surfaces are designed to be easy to walk on, with small gravel in the park and a stable, non-slip surface throughout. There are benches to rest on along the way. Wheelchairs are available by prior arrangement. Lifts are available in the Manoir and Studio to offer you a comfortable alternative to the stairs.

HEARING IMPAIRED

Chaplin's World is accessible to the hearing impaired and deaf. There are explanatory panels to compensate for the lack of audio information, and Charlie Chaplin's many silent films make for a captivating visual experience. Guided tours in sign language (ISL) can be arranged by prior arrangement.

INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY

Chaplin's World is accessible to people with intellectual disabilities. The museum offers a fun, interactive experience. Visitors can take part in a film set. Audio guides and a mobile application are also available to help visitors understand the visit.

VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

Visual elements play a central role in the full immersive experience of Chaplin's World. The museum is not fully adapted for the visually impaired. We do not have Braille descriptions and some parts of the Studio are only dimly lit, making it sometimes difficult to detect obstacles. However, some objects can be explored by touch, and guide dogs are welcome.
