Yesterday, we had the huge pleasure to welcome Mr. Ashok Aswani, a big fan of Charlie Chaplin who popularized the famous Tramp in Adipur, India, by organizing amongst the village people a yearly parade in which everybody is dressing like the Tramp, on Charlie’s birthday. Ashok had never left his native country but thanks to Cristina de Middel’s photo exhibition showing the parade at Festival IMAGES in Vevey, Ashok was able to realize his dream: visiting Chaplin’s house in Switzerland.

During the visit, emotion was at its peak : laughter at the Studio and tears at the Manor. The most emotional moment? When Ashok entered Chaplin’s bedroom. Ashok couldn't stop his tears, and a 90-year-old lady came to hug and comfort Ashok.
